Alphabet reassured jittery tech investors that its AI investments were powering returns at its crucial ad business on Thursday. The search giant’s first-quarter profit and revenue beat expectations, and the company said it would buy back $70 billion (roughly Rs. 5,97,800 crore) in stock, adding $75 billion (roughly Rs. 6,40,362 crore) to its market value.
